Il poker ha il suo numero uno da mettere in vetrina: Daniel Negreanu dopo essersi aggiudicato il titolo WSOP Player of The Year 2013, sta dominando anche il GPI POY e soprattutto il ranking mondiale del Global Poker Index, grazie al suo exploit alle World Series of Poker Europe.

Negreanu ha spodestato Marvin Rettenmaier ed è ora in testa al ranking mondiale. Jason Mercier guadagna due posizioni ed entrano nella top 10 Noah Schwartz e David Sands. Grossi passi in avanti anche per due italiani: Salvatore Bonavena (guadagna 37 posizioni e si piazza al 173° posto) e Massimo ‘MaxShark’ Mosele (253°, +35). Jake Cody (277°, -61) perde terreno insieme ad Andrea Dato (285°, -39). Entra in classifica il neo campione del mondo Ryan Riess (236°). Esce il norvegese Johnny Lodden.
